To anyone who ever met Julia she was a ray of sunshine with a smile that would light up a room. Julia was a talented musician like her younger brother Daniel and a keen sportswoman, loved by all who met her. Julia attended Lagan College where the school community rallied behind her during her illness and she was awarded their pride of Lagan college award in December 2022, to recognise the charitable work she undertook for the benefit of others. Julia tragically passed away in January 2023, shortly before her 16th birthday and her loss is painfully felt by her mum Dorota, dad Artur and little brother Daniel (who is currently in Primary 7). Julia and Daniel were not only brother and sister but best friends. Despite her illness, Julia was always thinking about what she could do in the future to help, especially other children facing illness in terms of how to cope. She was even one of the organisers of Mile In My Shoes raising funds for the Cancer Fund for Children last March.
