  • Summer Scheme

    Mon 14 Jun 2021

The school is pleased to offer a Summer Scheme, which will be funded by the DE and as such there will be no cost. The main purpose of the Summer Scheme is to help pupils make a successful return to learning in September 2021. There will be a focus on emotional health and wellbeing, as well as activities, which are interactive and fun, with plenty of scope for outside play. It is not about catch-up. Both weeks will run from 10am-2pm. We have availability for 100 pupils, with the aim of 50 from our current P1-3 classes and 50 from our current P4-P6 classes. At present, we can only offer the opportunity to avail of either Week 1 or Week 2. However, this is subject to demand. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis and the Google Form can be found below. The dates are as follows:

    Week 1: 5th – 9th July

    Week 2: 12th – 16th July

    Dear Parents,

It is very important our children receive as much movement and exercise as possible during this "Lockdown" period. Therefore, I would like to share with you a few excellent sites to encourage and enhance the fundamental PE skills necessary for children. Please see below videos that help develop the skills of catching, throwing, kicking, balance, jumping, leaping and hopping. They also develop dance and movement and are fun and enjoyable.

    Year 7 Homework Information

    Dear Parents,

For homework this year we will be sending home each child with a Maths and English jotter. These books must be covered in plastic sticky back cover film or a slip on plastic book cover. Children will be taking these are the only books children will be taking to and from home and they need to be sanitised daily. Any worksheets that go home must be stuck into the appropriate jotter. Weekly tests will be sent home and any corrections or extra work completed can be done in these jotters.

We intend to send home hard copies of Maths and Literacy work for homework, we will also use Seesaw to post our weekly spellings and any additional work we feel appropriate. (If any pupil is required to quarantine at any stage, Seesaw will be used to post daily school work).
