Science experiments

We investigated how blubber keeps Polar bears, whales and penguins warm in icy cold water. We made our own blubber from lard and were amazed to discover that it kept our hand cosy warm in icy water.

We made an ice hand by freezing coloured water. Every hour we observed the hand. Look at how the fingers melted away! Ice melts when it gets warmer.
