Making compost
Castlereagh Borough Council delivered two compost bins to the school garden. The children placed the bins in a partially shaded site and filled them with the green and brown material weeded from the raised beds. The boys and girls will monitor the bins' contents and add new material as the woods decompose and break down. There should be high grade compost in just 12 to 18 months!
