EVACUEES ARRIVE AT ST BERNARD'S

On Friday 8th April 1940, 28 evacuees arrived from Belfast to our school.In the classroom the children had to recite their tables and do handwriting.They then had some fun in the playground. They played hopscotch, skittles, marbles, played with hoops and played some skipping games.We finished the day with a party to celebrate VE Day. Our St Mary's students also enjoyed their last day.
