Cash for Clobber

"Cash for Clobber" is a scheme from Cookstown Textile Recyclers in which bags are filled with unwanted clothes that would otherwise be sent to landfill. The materials gathered by Cookstown are either re-used or recycled.
The company pay 60p per kilogram and it is an easy way to raise money for the school.
The council decided it would be a great way to raise money for improving the school grounds.
The Eco-Council gave every child in the school a "Cash for Clobber" bag, the bags were filled, returned, collected by Martin from Cookstown Textile Recyclers and a cheque for £398.75 arrived in the post!
