On Friday 27th April we were crowned champions of the Belfast Netball League.
There were nineteen primary schools competing from all over Belfast in the League, which started in October. During the League we beat every team we played, sometimes twice and qualified to the League finals where we had to play the other top primary school in Belfast (Downey).
The final was extremely exciting with Downey catching up on us after half time and when the final whistle blew, Downey had managed to draw with us 12-12.
The match went to extra time and the winning team was the team to score 2 clear points over their opponents and that team was us!!
Congratulations girls you played really well. You were committed, determined and skillful! We are now through to the Northern Ireland Netball Finals on 2nd June in Antrim Forum.
We have a lot of practising to do before this big day but I know the girls will rise to the challenge!
