Charity Colour Run

Last year in St Bernard’s Primary School, Belfast, three of our pupils, Daniel Okon, Felicity Morris and Daniel Kerr experienced significant trauma through the loss of a family member. Daniel Okon lost his sister Julia, Felicity lost her mum Andrea and Daniel Kerr lost his father Colm. As a mark of our ongoing support for these three families, together with the Parent Teacher Association, it was decided that we would host an event that would be a celebration of the lives of those we have lost, as well as raise awareness for charities close to their hearts. It was decided that there would be no better way than to bring the whole school community together for an Obstacle Colour Run. This will be a fun, colourful day out for all the family and the whole school community at the end of September, marking the beginning of a new school year and brighter days ahead.

The obstacle Colour Run will take place at Ardnavalley Outdoor Activity Centre, Belfast, on Sunday 24th September, 11am to 3:00pm. There will be a barbeque and tuck shop at the event also.

This week we are going to add each of the families stories, one per day, in the lead up to our Colour Run. They will be posted below.
