P5C led a brilliant whole-school assembly all about the 2026 FIFA World Cup! The children wowed their teachers and peers by sharing fascinating facts about this summer’s massive tournament, explaining the brand-new 48-team format and how three countries - Canada, Mexico, and the USA - are joining forces to host it.
Beyond the football stats, P5 beautifully connected the tournament to our school values. They explored how a football squad needs players with all kinds of different strengths to succeed, comparing it to how God created a beautifully diverse world where everyone has a special part to play. They also reminded us about the importance of 'Fair Play', sportsmanship, and loving our neighbours - both on the pitch and out in our school playground.
A huge well done to all of P5C for speaking so clearly, showing great teamwork, and bringing a wonderful spirit of unity and excitement to our assembly hall!
